Are you getting dizzy yet? The energy and momentum is swinging between the push of two incredibly powerful forces in our lives. This is real stuff, the battle for how we will defend our lives, which are endangered by Islamic Fascist Killers. T
he Enemedia has picked up the Democratic talking points and is spinning their news to support the Progressive agenda. The New Media valiantly tries to counter this misinformation with it's own effort.
The New York Post weighs in about the Vietnam comparison:
"Here at home, some can argue our withdrawal from Vietnam carried no
price to American credibility," said Bush, "but the terrorists see
things differently."
Bill Kristol writes in the
Weekly Standard:
Ronald Reagan personally added the following thoughts on Vietnam to the
prepared text of a defense policy speech: "As the years dragged on, we
were told that peace would come if we would simply stop interfering and
go home. It is time we recognized that ours was, in truth, a noble
cause. There is a lesson for all of us in Vietnam. If we are
forced to fight, we must have the means and determination to prevail."
Monisha Bonsai in

A study by the Media Research Center (the parent organization of Cybercast News Service
in 2005 found that the networks-ABC, CBS, and NBC-were presenting
"inordinately gloomy" coverage of the war in Iraq and downplaying or
ignoring areas of progress. The report concluded (1) network
coverage has been overwhelmingly pessimistic; (2) news about the war
has grown increasingly negative; (3) terrorist attacks are the
centerpiece of TV's war news; (4) coverage of the Iraqi political
process has been negative; and (5) few stories focused on the heroism
or generous actions of American soldiers.
Some in the GOP do have the courage of their conservative convictions. Not RINO Warner, (who should retire from office), but those in the Republican party who are mounting an Ad campaign addressed to those cowardly Republicans in less than solid districts.
The New York Daily News reports:
Republicans weighing a U.S. military withdrawal in Iraq got hit this
week by a blitz of intimidation (?) ads - paid for by fellow Republicans. The TV and radio spots targeting 37 House and Senate Republicans urge support for President Bush's (?) war and not "surrender."
That's funny, I thought Al Queda was trying to kill us. Amazingly, in the footsteps of the Brooking Institute's positive report about the Surge (for which the authors are now demonized by the moonbats), comes a body shot to the Democrat Anti War party. Democratic Congressman Brian Baird says:
Having been there, in the region five times and in Iraq itself two
times in just the last four months, I think it’s pretty clear to me
that a premature withdrawal would lead to greater chaos in the country
and that that chaos would expand within the region.
If the American public would just show the same political fortitude and courage as the combat volunteers in Iraq fighting for us here at home, we can win this war in Iraq, and then keep it going against those who'd seek to destroy us. Namely, the Democratic Party.
