Social Conservatives, Is This What You Want?

A strange thing happened on the road to Damascus. The world we know suddenly twisted into a strange version of Commander in Chief. Nancy Pelosi brought her own ideas about what Israel and the United States should say to the leader of Syria, who grinned broadly, knowingly, and watched his chances of being prosecuted for murdering a top Lebanese politician fade with the West. Too bad we can't cancel this bad show too.

Jimmy Carter approves. Need anyone say more?

Citizens in the United States watch with mouths agape as Pelose usurps the President, Secretary of State, Joint Chiefs of the USA, and the Prime Minister of Israel to give the people who openly state their desire to kill us all, the greatest propaganda victory in memory.

The Democrats are either clueless fools or cold calculating power mongers, and are everything they accuse President Bush of being.

Reckless.

This is yet another example of why social conservatives must decide to compromise, and keep the Democrats out of the White House.

Democrats The Cause Of The British Hostage Crisis?

Oliver North made an excellent point today. Because we don't have enough domestic oil, because the Democrats block any move towards new refineries or drilling, we are dependent on the oil flowing through the Gulf. Because the Iranians know this, and that the Democrats are afraid to confront the Iranians, all it took was the mere threat of closing the oil flow to get the diplomats scurrying and the West to capitulate.

Nancy Pelosi bowed at the feet of Assad in Syria, sold out Israel and gave our enemies the greatest propaganda victory since Jane Fonda and John Kerry went overseas. She is a shameless traitor to our country in a time of war. Trading our country's interests for political gain. I'm further sickened.

The Iranians are playing the Liberals in the Democratic Party and Great Britain like violins. We gave back the five guys we grabbed because of some back room deal. The Brits announced they'll be "more careful" about the borders, and I'll bet the freed soldiers will not say one bad thing about Iran. All because Jimmy Carter made a secret deal with the Iranians to get the embassy hostages back at the end of his term. They know the West's number. But they fear Bush, and use his enemies against him.

And Iran continues it's march towards nuclear weaponry.

How badly do you want to keep the Democrats out of the White House? Enough to compromise some of your social conservative principles in order to keep us safe? Please think about it. Our survival is at stake.

Democrats To Disenfranchise Military?

The past three general elections for president have left me angry and frustrated over the military vote. The Democratic party appears to systematically attempt to prevent the counting of the votes of the men and women risking their very lives for them. Beyond the pale. Then the election passes, it's forgotten, the next one comes, and it happens again. Where is our Republican Leadership?

According to Rod Powers, who writes on the US Military About.com site, ONE THIRD OF THE MILITARY BALLOTS in the 2000 election in Miami were tossed by the Dems.

Forty percent of the more than 3,500 overseas ballots in Florida were thrown out last week for technical reasons, and elections observers are wondering whether the state’s election laws are fair, especially to military personnel.
Rod further reported that Bush:
filed suit in state court today (2000) seeking to force 13 Florida counties to count a larger percentage of votes from overseas military personnel.
To no avail. But a new system like in New Jersey would allow servicepersons the option to fax or use the internet their ballot from overseas for a timely count. Suprisingly, the Democrat lawmakers objected

A New Jersey congressman raised questions Thursday about a new military voting program that lets service members request and submit their ballots by fax or e-mail.
What, are we crazy? We can't let those people vote. Just Illegal Aliens.

From CFIC.ORG, the following:
According to the Associated Press, 30 percent of military voters who requested absentee ballots in 2000 did not receive them in time to have their vote counted. In 2000, roughly 250,000 military voters applied to vote absentee. Now, with hundreds of thousands of additional troops posted in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere, the number of military personnel interested in voting absentee is expected to soar.

You get the point.  The Democrats fear the military. They want to emasculate and minimize any sense of military power in the United States. This has been proven by the Carter and Clinton administration's record.

The Democrats represent a constituency that hates America, thinks it is an evil presence in the world, and wants nothing less than to reduce our armed forces and have it become a supplemental unit to the United Nations.

My point is, do something NOW. Don't wait until a few weeks before the election. Let your representatives and senators know you want action and will hold them accountable. Write the newspapers and post on their blogs. The military vote could swing the election of Hillary Clinton into a different direction.

The Washington Times reported in 2004 that the Military vote was vital for a Bush victory. How about 2008. Will you and I let their votes count?

Now's the time to do something, not later.

Will The Litmus Test Undo The GOP

(hat tip to Sanity 102)
There is a stir going on over Fred Thompson. Social Conservatives are piping up enthusiastically with "I'd never vote for so & so" because of "this & that". And then go on the squabble over whether or not Fred is Conservative Enough to deserve their vote.

Well, after much reflection and thought, I have to agree with my colleague Sanity 102. If Conservatives don't pull their heads out of their rear ends, Hillary Clinton will be the next president. Is that what you want? Can you imagine our country then?

So, I suggest, humbly, that you use your principles as a best case scenario for what you'd LIKE to see in a candidate, then do what is called for in the game of politics. COMPROMISE, and VOTE for the candidate of the GOP that will get elected by the general population. This isn't a religious service, purity is not required. But victory is. It's about winning, folks, and if we lose in 2008, get ready to see the America you grew up in slow fade into the west. Conservatives MUST UNITE AT THE POLLS.

The only absolute in politics, is you've got to be pragmatic to win.

War On Two Fronts Looms

Many sources are indicating an overwhelming buildup of awesome military might in the Arabian Gulf and the Eastern Mediterranean. Patriot missile batteries are springing up all over the mid-east, and US business interests are being told to leave in no uncertain terms. A new moon occurs around April 17.

IF the United States starts or participates in an attack on Iran, there will immediately be a counterattack by the Democratic Party and it's partner the Mainstream Media. They will pull out every stop, hearings, impeachments, non binding resolutions and organizing demonstrations in an attempt to defeat the United States of America in the arena of public opinion.

What will we do? What can we do? I for one, would be especially pleased to see the GOP convene hearings on un-American activities. It's time for the GOP to fight back. This isn't parliamentary politics, this is our national survival. And for too long now, the Congressional Democrats like Pat Leahey and the New York Times have gotten away with treasonous activity. Leaking secret documents to the enemy should be prosecuted.

Liberals would love to forget that the Islamic Fascists and the Iranians are at war with us. They have been since the Carter and Clinton administrations. We don't have the choice the Liberals think we have. To run away and hide would bring them here. You must confront and defeat evil, or it will destroy you.

God bless the men and women of our military. They are in harm's way.

Do Liberals Want To Be Free?

I'm astounded by the words and actions of our fellow Americans who think the United States is an evil force in the world because it embraces Capitalism. There are teachers in our school systems from kindergarten to grad school who openly proclaim to captive minds that capitalism is evil, they don't believe in it. I worked in Michigan with a really nice guy, who was a NY Times liberal, and who with complete innocence, one day asked me, "what's wrong with socialism?" as if he couldn't understand any objections. He subscribed to the global corporation conspiracy theory.

It occurs to me that there is now an entire generation removed from the horrors of the gulags, from the wall, from the ethnic cleansing of the Ukraine, who never read Ayn Rand, who don' t know who Solzhenitsyn is, who can't tell you what happened during the Boxer Rebellion, who can't even tell you what happened after the fall of Saigon.

History bores the Moderate Middle, they don't have time for it. Too much work. So let me try to put it in a few sentences that they would be forced to wrap their sound bite minds around.

God had you born onto this planet free to do with your life as you wished. This is fundamental.

No one has the right to take away your freedom to create the tools and amass the possessions for survival and happiness.

All there is for us all to do, is to band together to protect each other's freedom.

Socialism says Man is above God, and has the right to take away man's freedom if it's in his own best judgement.

Our Modern Progressive Secular Socialists who:
Think it's unfair to win.
Think Morality is relative, there is no clear right and wrong and thus don't believe in personal responsibility, people are incapable of deciding their own fates
Choose emotion over reason
Believe wealth and resources should be taken from those who have and given to those who don't, even if it's at the point of a gun, held by the State

are pursuing a course, that if implemented, would mean the end of Western Civilization. The very scenario played out in "Atlas Shrugged".  The weak minded Liberal would surrender his freedom and future to a society that would impose upon him not the Utopia he was promised, but a regimented austere and sterile life under a totalitarian State. In short, our fellow Americans wish we were the Soviet Union, where everyone pretended to work, while the government pretended to pay them.

We sit on the brink of war. Forces are coming into alignment in the world that will bring a point of fight or flight. The British are fleeing. Europe has surrendered. A very large number of our fellow Americans would surrender.

What will the rest of us do?

Media Starts It's Own Campaign

In one of the opening moves for the Media for the 2008 election, the battle to discourage and suppress Conservative voters by the MSM has begun. We've just seen the publishing of one of the first of many, many polls that will say that the Democrats should win the White House in 2008. Strangely, another poll appeared that said the exact opposite. What to make of that?

It's too early for polls, so why do them? The lesson of 2006 returns. Social Conservatives were so angry at RINOs that they stayed home to teach the GOP a lesson. It was a lesson alright, in cutting off your nose to spite your face. And now we face the possibility of Defeat in Iraq at the hands of the Democratic Congressional Militia.

So the Media runs with the story, trumpeting 2006 as a referendum on Iraq (which it wasn't), and proclaims that most Americans want us to leave Iraq (which I don't believe) and says most Americans will vote for a Democratic President. Well shucks, I guess we here in da midwest oughta jest stay home and watch reruns of American Idol.

We've got to stay strong and keep counter punching. It'll be a 10 round fight, and it's a long way from being over. But the message is clear, all Conservatives must unite to keep the Democrats out of the White House, and take back Congress if we want to maintain the American Way of life. It's that serious.

Enemedia Refuses To Say Our Enemies are Muslims

An AP report today said - Riot police firing tear gas and brandishing batons clashed Tuesday with bands of youths who shattered windows and looted shops at a major Paris train station, officials said.

Once again, the Mainstream Media refuses to name Islamic Youths the ones responsible for rioting in France. They refuse to say The Imams on the plane in Minneapolis were obviously acting like terrorists to incite the other passengers, who they now are trying to sue. The British have acknowledged that they allowed the local Mullahs preach and do whatever hate they wanted as long as they didn't attack British targets. That failed to appease the Islamic Fascists, and the London Train bombings occurred.

Europe and now Great Britian have bowed before the Jihadists, and now the Brits have surrendered members of their armed forces without a fight. Amazingly, the public in England doesn't seem concerned at all over an act of war against it's armed forces. The Liberals here in the United States would feel the same way.

There will be open war sooner or later. Terrible to say. Inevitable. The Islamic Fascists are bringing it to us. We don't have a choice, unless we convert or die. That is their spoken vow. A Worldwide Caliphate is the goal.

A Conservative In Cincinnati now wholeheartedly believes in the John Doe Manifesto. Thank you Michelle Malkin.

The Coming War

Iran is pushing the United States into a military action. They actually think we won't do it. I think we will. Bush is a lame duck, and he sees the real danger. It won't be small, like Iraq, it will be bad. And as soon as it starts, the flow of oil to the west will begin to stop.

Does America have the strength to fight a war with Iran and survive the energy crisis that will accompany it, damaging our economy and changing lives on a scale never seen in the current generation's lifespan?

Only if we have the will to fight the enemy within.

The Socialists who think capitalism is bad, who think America is an imperialist bully, who think everyone has a right to the wealth of the nation earned or not, who think it's unfair to win, who hide in Academia, journalism, and the cocktail parties of the Liberal Elites, must be defeated. Or it's time to go to the wilderness and wait for civilization to come apart completely, and then rebuild when they've all died.

Because the killing is coming. Whether we want it or not. That's what Liberals don't want to admit. We didn't start this  war. It's not about us being bad people. It's about confronting and defeating evil in our time, before it defeats us.

And it's already here, in the halls and offices of congress, on the streets burning US soldiers in effigy in Seattle, in the kindergarten classes where teachers have said they don't want to teach children the evils of capitalism by letting them "own" their toys, in the New York Times and Associated Press that consistently has been caught printing false stories about our military, it's here.

What can be done? What could have been done in Germany before 1939? What could have been done in Russia before the Bolseviks revolted?

It's about the perception of reality held by the Moderate Middle. They control 58% of the vote. It's a propaganda war. Pure information cannot be digested by the Middle, they don't have the attention span. It's about sound bites and photo ops. It's about word of mouth and cultural reference.

But a strong dynamic charismatic leader can overcome all that if the Middle gravitates to him.

For us to survive, we need the votes of the middle. We need to nominate someone they'll go for over the Secular Progressive Socialists' nominee. It's about compromising to survive. And not just politically, this is for our civilization.

The purists get marginalized, the pragmatists get realized. Can we hold out until November 2008?

Illegals Unfair To Legals

I support immigration. This country needs workers of various skills to fill the roles in agriculture and construction. There is also a need for the high tech industries to keep expanding their talent base in this global economy. I welcome those who would be Americans.

I don't welcome those who would break our laws, receive the benefits from our government on false pretenses, and unfairly take the place here ahead of those waiting patiently in line to become legal citizens. I feel compassion for those in distressful situations who need help, but you don't let emotion trump the rule of law. But that's the nut of the disagreement, isn't it. Liberals "feel sorry" for those who are in other oppressive Socialistic corrupt or totalitarianistic countries. And though they would never agree to military action against another country such as Saddam's Iraq, they would easily suspend our laws to open our borders to the rest of the "unfortunates" in the world.

As a result of this Liberal attitude, we have an Illegal Alien problem. Our social systems are being overwhelmed, and the legal Americans here who deserve these resources are being swept aside. Entire towns' population levels are being ballooned by Illegal Aliens. It is a flood.

Neither party in Washington is interested in doing anything, they could never walk away from a potential voter base.

The 2006 election featured a prominent promise by both parties to do something. The election came and went, and so did the promises.

Close the borders , completely, with military presence.

Enlarge the Immigration and Border services on a large scale

Create guest worker programs and streamlined immigration processes

Make Illegal Aliens go to the back of the line, behind those who are doing it lawfully

Bill Mexico for all service rendered their citizens, and begin the clandestine undermining of their corrupt government. Go after Mexican gangsters who hold entire provinces in their hands, the way Israel goes after Hamas.

Revoke the law granting citizenship to anyone simply born here. Not good enough anymore.

Create US I.D. cards, and punish those employing Illegal Aliens knowingly.
Pass legislation making it illegal to take from the Social Security Trust fund for any other reason.

Although these would be the right things to do, I'm realistic enough to know the government doesn't have the will to enact all of these policies. There's too many votes out there.

George Will Noticed People Are Angry

In the Washington Post, George Will wrote a piece explaining that passionate anger has always been a part of the democratic process. Really? Have you just realized that,? Have you been asleep in your hot tub since 2000 George? The level of vitriol and personal hatred towards the Republican party since Al Gore lost in 2000 is unprecedented, in my opinion. There has been a systematic campaign to move public opinion into the arena of raw hatred by a determined Left Wing Socialist Anti America segment of our society.  In concert with the media, they've trumped up every single piece of bad news, distorting it all beyond reason to affect the sound bite minds of the Middle. This faction has been founded in Academia, fostered in Journalism, and flourishes in the Democratic Party of San Francisco and George Soros. The level of raw unfettered unhinged unreasoned hate in the Democratic Party's base would have the United States be defeated, humiliated and diminished on the world stage for the simple crime of being a capitalistic republic. In short, in the words of a blog poster, Liberals "feel it's unfair to win."

Liberals do hate Conservatives personally. I do not hate Liberals, I do hate their ideas and what they could create.

What Happened To Me On 9/11

Up until 9/10, I was an Independent Moderate, had no fixed philosophy on politics and voted for who "felt best". This drove a former co-worker who was a Democrat, crazy. "You've got to vote on your philosophy", he'd rant at me. I proceeded to go out and vote for Ross Perot, Bill Clinton, and then couldn't bring myself to vote for Al Gore even though I didn't like George Bush. I was disturbed that Bush won.

Then the towers fell. I spent the next several days with the anxiety of wondering if the next attack would come, and in what form.

Then we took Afghanistan, and the invasion of Iraq occurred. I became a news junkie, watching every minute on every channel I could, and noticed that the broadcast networks were predicting a bogged down campaign and a Vietnam like scenario. Only one network, Fox News, said we were slicing through the Iraqi army and would be in Baghdad in days. We were. I noticed.

I started watching one half hour of Fox News followed by one half hour of Broadcast Network news for a month or so and compared coverage of the same stories. The difference was overwhelmingly obvious. So I started surfing the net, reading opinion and news in newspapers in Russia, China, UK, India, Al Jezeera, Canada and Pakistan. France doesn't have any English versions online. I got a good view of the rest of the world's political philosophies and how their media spins the view about the United States and Capitalism.

I read opinion in the New York Times, Boston Globe, LA Times, Washington Post and listened to NPR and got a good dose of their opinion about America and Capitalism.

Then I listened to a Libertarian speak about a book written during the French Revolution by Fredric Bastiat. It was titled The Law. It clearly defined and differentiated Socialism and Capitalism. It blew open the doors. It is the standard against which I judge all politics.

The main kernel of this incredible little book is, if you believe God created you a free being on this earth, you cannot believe in Socialism. To do so is self deception and a denial of God. If you don't believe in God, if you believe that Man is the highest entity, than Socialism is totally acceptable. Thus the battle for our civilization.

Battle of the Bulge 2007

The Democrats have mounted their counterattack with the ferocity of the dimming Third Reich slamming through the Ardennes in a last ditch effort to defeat the United States. They offer money for votes, ratchet up negative stories about a supposed "unwinnable war", serve subpoenas for non existent crimes, set perjury traps for political opponents over standard policies, and try with all their might to defeat the greatest military in the history of the world. All for political gain. My representatives in congress don't have the courage to say it. Jean Schmidt of OHIO did and retracted it when the heat came on. But I will.

I question the patriotism of the Liberal Socialist Democratic Secular Party.

They would kill us all if it meant they could institute their program of wealth redistribution, thought control, open borders, legal abortion, legal drugs, and a general cultural philosophy of anything goes, morality is relative. God help the United States of America.

We absolutely must win in 2008, no matter who runs, and take back Congress, for the future of the grandchildren.

Rudy Gains With Social Conservatives

An interesting point is being made by people like J. Peter Mulhern in the American Thinker, that Rudy Giuliani may appeal to Social Conservatives on the grounds that he is the candidate most likely to be willing to actually FIGHT the Media and the Democrats. Pres. Bush angers and frustrates his base with an unwillingness to go toe to toe with anybody except the Islamic Fascists (thank you for that). Rudy's record in NYC shows he will scrap over his beliefs. Imagine a Conservative White House taking the attack to the Democrats!

Dick Morris has interesting poll numbers about Rudy:
The latest Gallup poll reports that Giuliani leads among Republican Primary
voters who attend church weekly or more. Although his margin is lower than
it is for those who go less frequently, it still shows that Rudy is overcoming
the difficulty one might expect he would have with the religious
right.

Among the 42% of the Gallup sample who attend church weekly or more, Rudy
leads McCain by 31-24, with Gingirch at 13% and Romney at 7%. Among those
who do not go weekly, Rudy leads by 48-21, with Gingrich at 7 and Romney at 6.

I like Rudy, but no matter who gets the nomination will get my vote in November 2008 (even if I have to hold my nose over the vile John McCain). We absolutely must keep the Democrats out of the White House. Stand Together in 2008!

BBC Begrudges Iraq Improvement, Kind OF

The BBC released two polls, one with doom and gloom, and the other contradicting the first (gasp)!

Paul Reynolds
BBC News website world affairs correspondent

...However, the administration might take some heart from the
finding that people are not actually calling in overwhelming numbers for an
immediate withdrawal. Those who want foreign troops to go immediately are
still in a minority, though a growing one (35% compared with 26% in 2005).
Most want the Americans to (somehow) restore security first.

And most Iraqis disapprove (by 88% to 12%) of attacks on Iraqi security
forces.

The figures therefore do lend some support for the US belief that there is
still a window open for stabilisation.

Leading Shia politician Dr Humam Hamada, chairman of the Iraqi parliament's
foreign affairs committee, has said he thinks the (Formerly Negative) poll findings are
out of date.

Damaged buildings in Baghdad four years after the invasion
Baghdad and other Iraqi towns bear the scars of war

"Since this poll was taken the new security plan has been put into place and
there is now hope not pessimism," he said on a visit to London as part of a
committee delegation.

"The death rates are down and there are indications that the people
recognise that there is a strong government and law and order. They are
coming forward with information.

"There has been tribal co-operation against the al Qaeda terrorists, who
have fabricated this war. This shows that the Iraqi people can co-exist. In
addition, we have taken steps towards reconciliation."

Yet, the report on the situation in Washington D.C, reveals a different situation to the BBC.

According to Toby Dodge - Reader in International Politics at London
University, who gave evidence to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in
January, the mood there is "heading towards cut-and-run."

"The elite in Washington is deeply pessimistic and only Bush and his
colleagues are holding on," he said.

They are determined to lose at any cost. But I think, WE want to win more. Most of us, anyways.
